COMPETITIONS

General Information

The Club runs a weekly 18 hole and 9 hole competition each Tuesday morning for the months of February/November inclusive, with reserved tee times from 7.20am to 9.00am.

Sandringham B Grade Pennant Team 2012

All competitions are held in 3 divisions, with all entrants competing with Golflink handicaps current on the day of competition.

• A Grade: Scratch - 28
• B Grade: 29 - 35
• C Grade: 36 - 45

The weekly competition is either Stableford, Par or Stroke.

We have a monthly "Star Award" for every month excluding May and September, when the May and September Medals are run over consecutive weeks.

Club Champions are determined from the best gross scores over three stroke rounds during May. There is a Club Champion and B and C Grade Champions. The top 16 best nett scores from the Club Championships are eligible to play in the Club Knock-Out Event.

The Club also runs a parallel 9 Hole Competition. Specialty events such as 4 BBB, Club Championships or Match Play are interspersed throughout the year.

The weekly Tuesday competition is followed by a lunch at the Links Café with a presentation of trophies afterwards. Club members are encouraged to stay after their game as often as possible not only to be kept up to date with the Club activities but each person's presence adds atmosphere to the daily trophy presentations and helps to maintain the friendliness for which our Club is renowned.

As an affiliate of the Victorian Golf League the Club usually enters two teams in the V.G.L. Pennant Competition, an inter club competition played on Monday mornings from April to May each year. Members also have the opportunity of competing in all V.G.L. events throughout the year.
